About Clearwater Beach

beachClean air and blue skies, soft sand and sparkling waves, restaurants and nightlife with an abundance of activities to choose from during the day, one visit to Clearwater Beach and you'll "clearly" see why this destination has widely taken over as one of Florida's most enjoyed and visited beaches in the state. Year after year, so many people have chosen to make Clearwater Beach their annual vacation spot by purchasing a vacation home or condominium directly on the beach, while others have chosen a primary residence here to live out a lifelong dream. Located in Pinellas County, just south of Safety Harbor, west of Tampa, and north of St. Petersburg, Clearwater Beach is close to downtown Clearwater and other major cities through a quick trip over any of the major local causeways. Clearwater Beach includes several miles of sugary white sand that stretches as far as the eye can see and includes the Gulf of Mexico and portions of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Living In Clearwater Beach

For those who live and visit Clearwater Beach, it is more difficult trying to decide what to do rather than trying to find something to do. The choices are endless and Clearwater Beach offers individuals of all ages activities to suit both their interests and activity levels. Quiet strolls in the evening, with comfortable ocean breezes and the sunset by your side, may be your activity of choice, while others may choose boating, parasailing swimming, golfing, shopping, or other recreational and cultural opportunities offered up and down the strip. It is not unusual to find groups playing a game of beach volleyball or couples sipping tropical beverages while listening to their favorite music at a beachfront patio tiki bar or even hearing the sound of children's voices as they romp around the playground located directly in front of the pier.

Things To Do On Clearwater Beach

Many different annual events take place here directly on the beach and are enjoyed by residents and visitors each year. Clearwater Beach also has its own marine aquarium where visitors can educate themselves as they take part in hands-on activities, encounter a dolphin show, and other opportunities to learn about the amazing marine mammals that are being rehabilitated here.

When the sun finally takes its plunge into the Gulf of Mexico, evenings at Clearwater Beach are just as spectacular as the days. Pier 60 comes alive with artists, street performers, and musical and magical entertainment that is not to be missed. Activities for the kids are offered and the playground remains open for their enjoyment. Many restaurants offer delicious cuisine, including scrumptious seafood dishes of all sorts. There are a wide variety of Clearwater Beach restaurants up and down the beach offering a casual atmosphere such as beachfront cafes, franchise restaurants, and sunset bistros. Or, for those of you who like to dress up for a night on the town, many formal restaurants are located here as well. Clearwater Beach activities are all around you in the sea, the sand, and the sky!
